Brand new to this site !!

This is my first blog here. I am just learning about ning and checking out this classroom site. It is so cool what you can do!! I am going to spend Labor Day weekend exploring and learning all about technology.

The Apple repairman is here now. I am typing this on my PC while he works on the nearly-new IMAC on the other desk here in my basement where my sons and I do our work. The IMAC hasn't had internet since May - they say the port is bad and he is here to fix it. My 7th grade son and I are anxious to get it going, because the school where he goes and I work has nothing but Apples. What with TECS 390, in which I am currently enrolled this fall, pulling me out of my comfort zone and making me learn more about this stuff, I am going to have to spend some time on an Apple for a change and finally learn it. My first goal is to know at least as much as my son does about how to run it!! :-)

Anyway, hope the repairman gets it going. I'm going to go explore this site some more and do some podcast listening so I can get my assignments caught up. See ya!
