That is the link to my slide show. You have to click on the picture in order to read the captions.

I was NOT familiar with Flickr or how to make a slide show (I ended up using my husband's yahoo account, as I don't have one and it seemed easier to work it that way.) I actually had a pretty good time with it. In terms of teaching, I think a great project would be to involve the students in the process. Not only are they learning about the subject (mine was a rain forest) they are also learning about Flickr. As an educator, I could see myself using a resource like Flickr while teaching. Not only is it free, it's also fairly easy to use (I think the more you use it, the easier it would seem.) I think there are endless ideas that you could use a slide show for and it makes learning more fun.

This is my flickr page. I would recommend viewing the photos as a slideshow, but I don't think you can see the captions. Anyhow, I used photos from a spring break trip to New Orleans to do hurricane relief work for this project. It was a great way to organize these photos and put them in a place where people could see them.

I had never used Flickr before and I still have a lot to learn, but I think it would be another great tool for my classroom. It would be a really cool way for students to create presentations and organize photos and art of historical events or time periods. I also think it would be a great way to allow parents and other community members to view student work online.

Great slideshow! Looks like you had a really great experience and probably learned very much. I think everyone should have an opportunity (or take an opportunity) like this and do something truly worthwhile for someone else. The world would be a much better place...

I did my project on the process of harvest. Here is the site, just click view slideshow http://www.flickr.com/photos/9864644@N06/sets/72157600723866036/.

I really enjoyed using Flickr. It seems like a great tool for my classroom and for me personally. I think students would love to learn how to use Flickr themselves and learn from slideshows I have made myself. I had never used it before, but it wasn't hard to use after I got started. This is just another great FREE resource for teachers and students.

I chose to do somewhat of a post card theme for my flickr account because I was travelling over the fourth of July week. Everyone can view my pictures at http://www.flickr.com/photos/9612021@N04/. I have a few more to add so check back later today.
I had a fun time doing this project. Some of the pictures are not the greatest since I have a cheap digital camera but over all they worked out.

I put my High School dance team pictures on my site. The girls like to see pictures of their formations, and it is also good to see sometimes snap shots of their moves, to see if everyone is doing the same thing. I enhanced some of the pictures picnik

Feel free to visit, however you will need to be my friend to look at the photo project. I work with children and I took the photos at work. Therefore, I tryed to get the children in most of the photos because it made the pictures so much cuter :) For privacy reasons I don't want to open my account up to the public to view. So, request me as a friend/contact or whatever they call it, and I will add you so you can take a look!

I loved playing around with Flickr and learning how to use it. I would love to use this with my future class. I can see myself taking pictures of my students as they do school projects, plays, presentations, etc, and putting all of the pictures into a photo show when done. I could also use Flickr in similar ways as I did with my photo project about geometric shapes. Teachers can make a photo projects that can incorporate into any kind of lesson to give their students a visual representation of the concept. I did mine over geometric shapes, but just like the assignment details suggusted...there is an endless number of topics you could create a photo project about. I look forward to using this with my class, it is a lot of fun!

I am considering using Flickr for Yearbook photo sharing. We upload photos to our server, of course, but non-yearbook students "donate" photos all of the time via email or jump drives. They love to share, and since it is such a small school, we appreciate any photos we get. Flickr might just work for that.

My flickr photos and slideshow deal with two important aspects of my life, which are work and play. Before taking this class I never knew there were so much free website resources for teachers to use for their lesson plans. I could see using this for computer training for teachers. Taking screen prints and making a slideshow could be very helpful during training sessions or teacher work days.

FLickr is very new to me, but it seems to be very useful and easy. I am sure I would try to use this in my classroom to show the parents what activities their kids are doing while in class. I think this will help the parents be more involved in their children's schooling. Thanks for showing us this website.

Here is a link to my Flickr site. I decided to have the theme, "Vacation spots in Germany, Italy, Austria and Switzerland." If you have time to visit any of these places it is worth it!Enjoy!!
