I really liked Quia especially the quiz/test builder feature. One of the hardest things for me is to build tests with questions that are in random order, diverse and cover a large volume of the material. In fact in my methods classes I often took 4-5 hours to write tests. This feature would be great for building tests with a wide variety of questions, more than just multiple choice and true/false. The one problem I had was that I did not realize you had to save so much when building assignments/quizzes because I lost two of them. My site is over the Progressive Era which I wrote on for my methods class, I hope it is useful. I can't wait to expand it with video and audio clips etc.

I've actually had a teacher use quia for my spanish class. It was great to be able to do lessons that had someone speaking the language to me. I like how some quizzes can be designed to allow the person to keep taking them over. The more you see a question, the more likely you are going to remember the answer. I"ve also use the flash card function with quia and that really enabled me to learn my vocabulary faster. It was nice because I was able to not only just look at the English word and say the SPanish outloud, but I had the option of seeing the SPanish word and guessing its English match. It worked out great, and is a tool I would definatly use for vocabulary purposes.
