TECS290 Summer 2007-Cyndi Danner-Kuhn

Introduction to Instructional Technology

Teachers from the Trenches:
I know this Classroom 2.0 is more or less, sorta-kinda a blog. But it sure isn't one in the traditional sense. My students are setting up Blogs of their own and will be posting their blog URL with one last set of article reflection/assignment here.

Could you all share how you are using a blog and the link to it with us. What do you find valuable about blogs, do you use them in your classroom with students? Feel free to comment on my students blogs when they appear. Actually, this blog is the very last assignment in the class so I suspect no URL's will appear here from my students until about the second or third week of July.

TECS 290 Students:
The exact details for this final Project on Blogs is in week seven of Moodle. But, this is where you will post the link to you Blog. And the suggestion was made for everyone to use the SAME tags so RSS feeds work better. So for this one use blogs, pre-service teachers, technology integration, tecs290-s07

What a great idea. I will share this idea with people at my school here in Garden City as well. Now, if we can only get the technology people to disable the filtering of blogs on our internet filters!

If folks are interested in how to use a blog to build their portfolios, drop me a line. The one I did helped get me to get hired in my new position teaching computer lab, so I think they can be very powerful. Also, easy to update.

Hi all;

I too have just started my Blog, which may be seen at http://computertutor.edublogs.org/ This is far from done at this point, but I thought I would share it with you all anyway! I kind of like it so far!

I am not sure how and/or where to "tag" my blog. Any suggestions?

Thanks! Fred Griffith
